Benigno "Ninoy" Kalasag

Known Abilities: Kalasag / Blessed ShieldBenigno "Ninoy" Kalasag is the son of [REDACTED], a man involved in numerous activist activities until his death in 2005. Raised in Sadin by his uncle, Ambrosio “Amboy” Kalasag, he was timid and awkward, finding it hard to blend in with the community. Schooled in La Trinidad for most of his life, he recently moved back to Sadin following the awakening of his ability, the “Blessed Shield,” a generational power that allows the user to manipulate shields at will. He is currently a Grade 12 student at Puraw Hill High School.Ninoy is a kind-hearted boy but is a recluse due to numerous factors. His loneliness has stunted both his social and school life. Despite this, he manages to get along with most people and truly cares about his loved ones but finds it difficult to make meaningful relationships.

Chaya Lualo

Known Abilities: Lualo / Healing PrayerChaya Deborah In-esa Lualo is a student who previously attended Baguio City National High School. She was under the custody of her mother, Dalila In-esa, after her parents separated. Following a recent incident, Chaya moved to Sadin to stay with her father, Segkha Lualo, and maternal grandfather, Tarcheng In-esa. Chaya’s birth was of much controversy due to the Lualo and In-esa family feud. Nowadays, the only cause of suspicion is her supposed ability to perform the “Healing Prayer.”Known to be quiet and aloof, Chaya pays little attention to the lives of both strangers and family members. Her parents' divided spiritual beliefs have driven her to not believe in anything at all. Although her life up until this point has been troubling, her grandfather, Tarcheng, has provided her with a light in the darkness.

Kory Mansi-bok

Known Abilities: Mansi-bok / Foresight / All-Seeing EyesKory Puraw Mansi-bok is a soon-to-be university student from Western Canada. Their mother is a nurse, the only daughter of Puraw and their father is a construction worker, the only son of Amta. Although they come from prominent family lines in Sadin, little is known about their life until they came to the Philippines in early July. They are suspected of possessing the generational ability of “Foresight” from their paternal grandfather, Amta, but seem to have little control over their abilities.Kory possesses a cheery disposition but keeps private information to themself. Their overt happiness at times is a cover-up for their inability to make decisions as well as their self-identity issues. However, they would rather suffer than let those issues be noticed by others.

Ambrosio "Amboy" Kalasag

He lived in Sadin when he was a teenager, yet almost no one remembers his exact identity, only knowing him for his connection to Ninoy.Ambrosio is a meticulous man, following through with every plan he creates. He balances out his seriousness with his bright deposition, making most people trust him despite his mysterious past. He also follows his moral code, something that, at times, disrupts his relationships.

Known Abilities: UNKNOWNDr. Macarena del Mundo is an independent physician working with Ambrosio Kalasag at Sadin Spiritual Investigations. Her mother was a mumbaki (native priestess) who was an outcast in her community and moved to Sadin with Macarena when she was five years old. She began working with Ambrosio in 2017. Although no abilities have been directly observed, it is noted that she has a certain presence, debated if it is spiritual or not.Macarena is a woman with many secrets in both her origins and her current life. Although she keeps to herself, she has a friendly and welcoming flair that makes everyone trust her but can be stubborn if pushed too far. She can also appear quite careless, but she is certainly not a person to be looked down upon.

Baro Gayang

Known Abilities: Gayang / Spear of HeavenBaro Gayang is the beloved grandchild of Puraw, the clan matriarch. He possesses the Spear of Heaven from his father, yet few people are aware of this. Referred to most people as “manong,” “kuya,” “kasing-sing,” “tito” or “nephew,” most people in the community look to Baro as their guiding light. He was the first in his family to complete college, with a Bachelor's in Criminology and eventually graduating from law school. After his schooling, he was immediately picked up by the government to lead a new, secret program; the Supernatural Investigation Bureau.Although he is known for being serious and well-mannered, he can sometimes be aggressive. Baro has a hard time articulating his feelings, too used to the strict guidelines of his work. Despite his hard shell, people look up to him nonetheless.

Jun Aliwa

Known Abilities: Aliwa / Axe of JusticeA man born from an Isneg father and a mixed Japanese-Isneg mother, Jun Nagata Aliwa is an English teacher in public and a supernatural investigator in private. Ever since an incident that happened to him and his friends in high school, Jun devoted himself to finding ways to prevent events like that from happening again. He possesses the Axe of Justice, a generational ability from his father.Despite the fact that he is an adult, he has never truly grown out of his awkwardness stemming from his teenage years. He is a kind soul but sometimes a pushover, fearing that he would cause unnecessary conflict if he fought back.

Ceferino "Badang" Pala-ok

Ceferino is the 5th child of his parents out of 10 children. After an incident that hurt him and his friends, he vowed to become the strongest to protect the people he loved. Known as "Badang Boy" on the ring, he recently retired to care for his daughter.Rough and rugged, Ceferino was always known to be over the top in everything he did. While most people knew him as a bully when he was younger, he's grown to be more mature with the birth of his daughter. He has never truly lost his fighting spirit, desiring to return back to the ring and win a championship belt.

Nestor Buya-an

However, it was a fruitless expedition, and he returned to the Philippines a few years later.Usually silent, Nestor enjoys peace and quiet, with the exception being his guitar. He was popular in high school for his music and known to be "jeprox" (according to Ceferino). He stands out from his two friends, Jun and Ceferino, and tends to be a mediator between their conflicting personalities.

Joaquin "Kavajo" Puraw

Known Abilities: UNKNOWNKavajo is a current university student and one of the many grandsons of Puraw. His father, Johnny, is the youngest son of Puraw. Kavajo was known for being a kind child until Puraw’s death when he was 16. Since then, he has been involved in many troublesome activities, including underage gambling and drinking. He now attends the University of Baguio, pursuing an English degree, encouraged by Puraw when she was alive. Although he is a part of a prominent family, no observed abilities have been recorded with sufficient evidence.Although his tough and demeaning exterior pushes most people away, he has a caring heart for the people who are truly close to him. His troubled upbringing has driven him to engage in dangerous activities where he can be himself and feel alive.

"Kalabaw" Nuang

They grew up with Kavajo and began to date in high school, but kept their relationship a secret due to their families’ expectations. Ever since then, they have despised Sadin, only visiting at times to see their family and Kavajo. Other family notes include that their parents died in a car accident when they were young, and lived with their older sister and brother, Jetney (known as “Jet”) and Jasper (known as “Jas”).Kalabaw is known to be quite cheeky and rebellious, frequently disrespecting elders and anyone else who doesn’t like them. They have a strong sense of self and are not afraid to say what is on their mind.
